Erich Schär is a senior software engineer at emineo AG, a Swiss based consulting and software engineering company. He holds a bachelor’s degree form ETH-Zürich and has been working in the industry for well over a decade.

Born in 1981 Erich started coding in Basic when he was 13 years old. Today he is focused on web applications and web services using technologies such as C#, Java, Java Script, HTML, CSS, SQL, and Bootstrap. His work covers all areas of software engineering from requirements gathering to implementation to integration. In the security area he is focused on Public Key Infrastructures (PKI), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) and writing secure code.

He is passionate about writing high quality code that is easy to extend and maintain. In his blog he talks about techniques and practices to write outstanding code.
